In the 1800s tokens from nearby plantations
freely circulated in Latin American towns. Most
were metal, but not these! 29mm and somewhat
thick.

BERMANIAN HORSECART TOKEN

Who was Gretta? One of the most respected and beloved horses in Bermania, that's who. Schmuel & Gretta operated a horsecart for hire in the 1930s & 1940s. It was Gretta & Schmuel who would meet Howard Hughes when he'd arrive on the Danube, and bring him to meetings at Castle Bermansk.
Schmuel was a burly man with a large black beard. He would give a deep laugh from the seat of his horse cart and say, "Schmuel's Horse cart at your service. Need a hand up?" Gretta was a gentle chestnut mare.
These tokens were good for one fare "anywhere in the kingdom." Schmuel's grandson, found a tightly sealed keg of them, shiny as the day they were made.
Almost the size of a US half dollar.
